My kind of Sunday
Today was the bomb. It was hot and sunny. I can't remember the last time that we all went to the Clarks swimming and wakeboarding on a hot day. I think it must be a while. Too bad I don't have any pictures to show for it. Christiane and Janna arrived last night! We made a banner and then hid in their garage and jumped out at them. It is going to be a good couple weeks catchin' up! We then watched the Edmonton game on tv, which they won. I don't watch too much hockey, but when I do, I like it when the team I want to win wins. Tonight I went running along the water and it was gorgeous. There was also a nice breeze for my sunburned nose. Although my body was sore from the couple of good falls I had on the wakeboard. :-) Soon I will have my own digital camera and then there won't be times when I can't get my hands on one! Have a good week everyone!

A Week with Cameron
I had such a good week! We did things that were adventerous, and we made cookies and read books. I really enjoyed having a change of scenery and just being reminded of the bigger picture because it is easier to get on a single minded track and you can forget what is important to you. Not that I don't like working at Second Cup, but I was reminded a bit of what is important to me, not just making sure the customer gets the "best service" in town. Anyways, here are some pics of my week lookin after Cameron.
Other memorable moments of the week:
A trip to the museum of natural history-(least favourite part was the giant cockroahes...)
running/swimming in Oakfield park with Islay
eating some really good gluten free muffins that they got me at the market
getting to read a bit and play some piano....it is been too long!!!!
Bedtime!
Lots of other laughs that I just can't recall at the moment :-)
Well see ya!

Well,
This was our weekend in Cape Breton for the Cape Breton Relay that went aeound the 285 km Cabot trail. There are 65 teams and each team has 17 people for each leg of the race that makes up the 285 km. On Friday night we drove to our cottage and stayed there for the night. Then we met up with my team on Saturday and cheered them on and then did some eating and hanging out and visiting my cousin Jill's family in the northern part of the island. I was so happy to have Jill, Joanna and Ashley there! The mountain was very hard to run up and down but they cheered my on! It was a really cool experience and I will definitely do it again next year.....and my team is looking for more young runners.....so what do you think? Any takers? Then on Saturday night my leg of the race finished at almost 10. We drove to Cheticamp to a place that we thought that we had reservations, but it turned out we didn't. We were VERY tired! Then on the way out of town we stopped at this place and as I was going in to the office a lady asked if I was Jennifer Spencer. The she told us she was waiting for us, and she put treats in our room and turned on the heat! I love her! Sunday we drove to baddeck where the relay started and finished for the awards ceremony and free LOBSTER dinner! Oh ya! So that was the relay...now it is time to focus on Bio and chem! (definitely not as fun!)Bye
