My new friend Frank
Frank is my new friend at Second Cup. He is about 80 something and comes in every day, sometimes twice a day to get a drink. He has a very small stomach and only gets half a drink everytime because that is all that will fit. Frank loves music. Our common bond is because we both played the trumpet...well he still does alot and my mom sold mine (not that I would play it if I still had it.) Frank is British and has an accent. He has played the trumpet his whole life in different orchestras, as a professor and as a performer. Last week he brought me in one of his cd's to listen to with request that if I didn't listen to it within 24 hours I would turn into a pumpkin. SO I listened to it on the way home and loved it. He says it is the kind of trumpet playing that you have with a glass of wine and a good book. He also told me I shouldn't listen to it in the car because I might fall asleep. Tonight he promised me another one of his cd's with jazz recordings which I look forward to. This is a really random story of which I have no picture to show, and If I was really smart in the blooger world I might me able to post one of his songs, but I am not so the story must suffice!
